Pancake Day

Residents celebrated pancake day with afternoon of pancake fun. There was a choice of fillings.


Fords Hospital

Fords Hospital is opening its doors on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 10am to 4pm as part of the Heritage Open days.

Bonds Social Club

The resident’s social club has been busy over the last few months with events to celebrate both St Patrick’s day and St George’s day being held in the resident’s lounge. A talk on the history of the Almshouse by  Mr Victor Keene the Chairman of Trustees was also held. Which was enjoyed by both new and old residents alike.


The residents social club are holding a fish and chip supper for all residents on Saturday 18th February. All members and non members are welcome.

Whats been going on in the Almshouses

The residents having been taking part in new art and craft sessions over the last few months, classes have been taken by a local community artist.  New Chair yoga has also started on Wednesday afternoons. The residents social club has organised celebrations for St Patrick’s and St Georges Day. They also arranged a meal  out  at a local pub and there is a party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.


Christmas has arrived at the Almshouses

The decorations are up, residents have enjoyed lovely lunch at the Ansty Hotel and the Salvation Army made their annual visit to B0nds Hospital.

Bond’s Court

On Friday 2nd October at a special coffee morning, Mrs Margaret Grinter was presented with a bouquet of flowers from the Trustees to celebrate the fact that she has been a resident of Bonds Court for 30 years. 20151002_103557

Ring and Ride


Joyce giving Joyce a final polish!

Mrs Joyce Chayter a resident at Bonds Hospital  and a long time customer of Ring and Ride. Was asked if she would like to have one of their new buses named after her. The naming ceremony took place on Monday 28th September at the Transport museum.

Guide Dogs For The Blind visit Bonds Hospital

Bonds Hospital had a very special visitor on Thursday 27th August. As Ricky a guide dog puppy came along with his puppy walkers to talk to the residents about all the wonderful work Guide Dogs do. We are all looking forward to him coming back before he goes of to start his training.FullSizeRender


Celebrating 25years

Joyce Chayter has been a resident of Bonds Hospital for 25years and in that time there have been many changes. Trustee and Staff celebrated by presenting Joyce with a lovely bouquet at the residents coffee morning today.
